Our Garden Gang have been hard at work in Orchard clearing the nettles, brambles and ivy from the walls. So far they have re-planted the strawberry bed, pruned back the raspberry canes ready for this years fruiting and installed an onion bed for the Creative Club volunteers for their chutney making!
This is just the beginning of the Garden Gang’s big plans as they want to return orchard back to a productive garden with new fruit trees trained up the Orchard walls, a second raspberry bed and even another vegetable plot too.
We are always looking for extra hands either in the week or at weekend to ‘Lend a Hand’ in Orchard so if you have green fingers and can spare an hour or two please get in touch with Marion (Site Service) our chief gardener.
