The Cottage & Orchard Shelter

The Cottage consists of one large activity room with kitchen, toilets, leaders room and dormitory all centrally heated.  

In addition attached to The Cottage is Orchard Shelter being another large activity space with sink and cold running water. Both The Cottage and Orchard Shelter have an integrated fire detection and alarm system and both are totally wheelchair accessible.

Please beware that no activities are permitted on the grassed area in front of The Cottage known as The Orchard. This area is out of bounds but please feel free to make use of the central area of the main camping field during your stay for any games or outdoor activities.

Activity Room (includes kitchen area)

• Double oven with 6 gas rings.
• Large fridge and separate freezer.
• Microwave / Toaster / Electric kettles.
• Crockery & cutlery for 24 people.
• Catering size pots, pans, baking sheet and other cooking equipment.
• Baking equipment & aprons.
• All cleaning products are provided except washing up liquid but please bring your own tea towels and hand towels.

Bedrooms

• Dormitory sleeping 18 on bunk beds
• One leaders’ room sleeping 2 on Jay Be beds (an additional Jay Be bed and 4 camp beds are available for use in the Activity Room).
• Pillows are provided but pillowcase should be brought along with sleeping bags (or sheets and duvets).

Washrooms

• One shower, toilet & wash basin for disabled personnel
• Separate bathroom with 3 toilets and 2 wash basins.
• Toilet roll and cleaning products are provided.
• Please bring your own hand towels.
