Woodland Explorer Area

The new Woodland Explorer Area is now open for bookings.

This new activity area has 5 different zones – Hedgehog, Owl, Dragonfly, Wasp and Fairy Tale Corner. In each zones there are different activities to try, challenges to explore, games to play all around the themes of woodlands, trees and discovery. Some of the activities are aimed at Rainbows and Brownies but we also have a separate pack of tree activities for Guides, Rangers and Leaders.

A Woodland Explorer Area booking includes use of Mole Hill Shelter that has tables and a storage area for bags.

Your booking lasts for up to 1hour 30mins, which is enough time to explore all the Woodland Explorer Area and complete some of the activities and activity sheets. The cost is £3 per person, which includes a Badge, the £1 site evening usage fee( if used in the evening); if the activity area is being as part of your day visit or residential stay this is an additional charge. Payment is on the occasion of the visitor by cheque or BACS.

Adults MUST accompany children at all times in the activity area and smaller groups work best in each activity zone. Please note this a quiet activity area.

Please be respectful of anyone camping and do not walk across their campsite unless they say it’s ok to do so.

N.B. Please do not publish pictures of the activities outside of your unit. Please don’t visit and use the activity area unless you’ve booked it.
